About John

John Carr has been with EXIT Realty John Hill since 2004, and specializes in residential listing and selling.  He has achieved designations in Accredited Buyer Representation and Accredited Seller Representation, and has advanced training in negotiating, residential construction, real estate finance, and real estate law.

John has the honor of earning several notable achievements: earning the Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery while in the Army, and more recently earning numerous Top Lister and Top Seller awards from EXIT Realty John Hill.  He consistently has earned EXIT Corporation International's Bronze Award for closing 25+ transactions per year.

John is a member of the National and Pennsylvania Associations of Realtors, and serves on the Ethics Committee of the local Allegheny Highlands Association of Realtors.  With the exception of 3 years for active duty military service in Washington DC and 2 years working for the paper industry in Maine, John has been a life-long Pennsylvanian.

In his off time, John is an avid mountain biker and hiker and is more than half-way to having summitted all 50 state high points.  As an active member of the community, he volunteers weekly for Blair Senior Services as a volunteer driver for Meals On Wheels, and also contributes his time to the Blair County Association for the Blind and Easter Seals Blair County.

John resides in Altoona, is married to the most wonderful woman in the world, and lives his whole life to please her and to be the best role model he can to his young son Ben.
